Global manufacturing organisation is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to join their product design team.

Working within Research and Development, you will:
• Produce new mechanical designs, plus analyse and modify existing topologies
• Work in a project based environment and create design solutions, liaising closely with the Engineering department throughout the stages of design
• Revise specifications where necessary, in order to improve aspects surrounding safety, performance and ease of manufacture. Conduct reviews surrounding materials used.
• Engage in competitor analysis

The ideal candidate must possess a Mechanical Engineering degree, accompanied by solid, complementary work experience in a similar design role. This experience is crucial to ensure you possess some existing, commercial exposure to mechanical design and various CAD software.

On a personal note, candidates must be professional in their approach, possess strong communication skills, be comfortable working in a cross-departmental role and interacting with colleagues at all levels (technical and non-technical).
